TOPIK Preparation | Free Level 1-6 Practice Questions 1,500 questions

You do not sign up for a particular TOPIK level. The level you receive is decided by your total score: TOPIK I awards Levels 1-2 and TOPIK II awards Levels 3-6, each from a single test booklet. This question bank lets you separate vocabulary, grammar and reading by target level, so you can narrow the range to a goal such as "secure Level 2 first" or "move from Level 3 to Level 4".

What this TOPIK question bank offers

Set the range from your target level

TOPIK I (Levels 1-2) and TOPIK II (Levels 3-6) are grouped as levels, and you can also pick a single level inside each group. Including one level above your target shows you how much room you still have to grow.

Korean questions, explanations in your language

Question text and choices are shown in Korean, while only explanations and reasons for wrong answers switch to your display language. This prevents the common failure of practising through translations and then falling apart on test day.

Mock tests close to the real format

TOPIK I runs 40 questions in 60 minutes and TOPIK II runs 50 questions in 70 minutes, both in reading format. An unanswered list and review flags let you manage the order you work in.

Study data stays on your device

Accuracy rates and review schedules are stored in your browser LocalStorage. Answer data is never sent to a server.

TOPIK I has 30 listening questions and 40 reading questions for a maximum of 200 points, in 100 minutes. 80 points or more gives Level 1, and 140 or more gives Level 2. TOPIK II has 50 listening questions, 4 writing questions and 50 reading questions for a maximum of 300 points, in 180 minutes split into a 110-minute first session and a 70-minute second session. 120 points gives Level 3, 150 gives Level 4, 190 gives Level 5 and 230 gives Level 6. In neither test do you apply for a specific level: the level follows from your total score. The speaking test is a separate, independent exam. Always check the official site for the latest fees, dates and test rounds.

  • These are original questions written for study purposes, modelled on TOPIK question formats and the official level descriptors.
  • They are not reproductions of real exam questions. For officially released past papers, see the archive on the official TOPIK site.
  • Every question carries the answer, an explanation and why the other choices fail, with notes on where each word or grammar point is actually used.
  • Level assignments are a guide based on the official descriptors. Your real level is decided by your total score on test day.
  • Questions whose spelling or usage has dated are revised as reports come in.

Frequently asked questions

Are the TOPIK questions free?

Every question here is free to practise. No sign-up is needed, and you can use standard study with a chosen level, field, difficulty and question count, plus today's review, weak points and mock tests.

Are these official past papers?

No. These are original questions written for study, modelled on TOPIK formats and level descriptors. If you want the actual past papers, check the released test rounds in the archive on the official TOPIK site.

What is the difference between TOPIK I and TOPIK II?

They are separate tests. TOPIK I has 30 listening and 40 reading questions out of 200 points, where 80 gives Level 1 and 140 gives Level 2. TOPIK II has 50 listening, 4 writing and 50 reading questions out of 300 points, where 120 gives Level 3, 150 gives Level 4, 190 gives Level 5 and 230 gives Level 6. In both cases you do not choose a level when applying: your score decides it.

Why are the questions left in Korean?

Because on test day the questions and choices are entirely in Korean. If you practise on translations, you will stall at simply understanding what is being asked. This site keeps questions and choices in Korean and switches only the explanations and reasons for wrong answers to your language.

How is the level on each question decided?

It is a guide based on the vocabulary and grammar expected by the official TOPIK level descriptors. Your real level comes from your total score, so answering the Level 6 questions here does not guarantee Level 6. Including one level above your target shows you where your remaining points are.

Are there listening or writing questions?

No. This site covers only four-choice reading questions. Use the official audio for listening and TOPIK II sample answers for writing. The speaking test is an independent exam held separately from TOPIK I and II.

Where is my study history saved?

In the browser you are using, via LocalStorage. There is no automatic sync to other devices, and clearing your browser data erases the history.
