Seven topics aligned with AI-901
Since the Foundry area, which has a large proportion, is divided into "Basic/Generative AI/Agent/Information Extraction", weaknesses in the implementation can be identified in detail.
Microsoft AI-901
This Fundamentals-level exam tests your ability to understand and implement AI solutions with Microsoft Foundry. The exam has two major areas, and implementation with Foundry accounts for 55–60%. Because the structure differs substantially from the former AI-900, this question bank focuses on the Foundry portal, agents, and Content Understanding.
Start studyingAI-900 was retired on June 30, 2026; the current exam is AI-901. Microsoft does not publish official past exam questions, so this site provides original study questions based on the published skills measured.

AI-900 was retired on June 30, 2026, and the Azure AI Fundamentals certification is now earned through AI-901. The skills measured were updated on April 15, 2026: “AI concepts and responsibility” accounts for 40–45% and “Implement AI solutions with Microsoft Foundry” for 55–60%. The passing score is 700 out of 1000. Microsoft does not publish a fixed question count; based on commonly reported test experiences, this site sets its mock exam to 50 questions in 45 minutes. Candidates are expected to understand Python syntax and be familiar with REST APIs, SDKs, and CLIs. There are no prerequisite certifications, and the exam can be taken at a Pearson VUE test center or online. Because the scope continues to change, check Microsoft's latest skills measured before your exam.
Questions included: 1,150 questions · Last question update: September 22, 2026
All included questions are free to practice, with no account required. You can use Regular Practice with configurable sets, categories, difficulty, and question count, as well as Today's Review, Weak-area Practice, and Mock Exam modes.
AI-900 was discontinued on June 30, 2026, and the same Azure AI Fundamentals certification was changed to AI-901. Although the certification name is the same, the contents are very different. AI-900 was structured to explain Azure's AI services one by one, but AI-901 was restructured around Microsoft Foundry, and implementation in Foundry accounts for more than half of the exam. Just because the names are the same, it will not be enough if you use teaching materials from before 2024. This site is created within the scope of AI-901.
No. Microsoft certification exam content is protected by a nondisclosure agreement, and Microsoft does not publish official past exam questions. Using dump sites that reproduce real exam questions violates Microsoft certification policies and may lead to certification penalties. The questions on this site are original practice questions created for study purposes with reference to the published skills measured and Microsoft Learn learning paths.
Microsoft's candidates for the exam include knowledge of Python code syntax and programming techniques, as well as familiarity with REST APIs, SDKs, and CLIs. There are no questions that ask you to write code, but you will be asked to read a short piece of Python code that calls the Foundry SDK to determine what it is doing. This site also displays the code exactly as it is.
There are two main areas. 40-45% answered "AI concepts and responsibilities" and 55-60% answered "Implementation of AI solutions using Microsoft Foundry". Since the latter accounts for the majority, the handling of generation AI, agents, and content understanding in the Foundry portal will be the focus of scoring. This site divides these two areas into seven areas so that you can practice them.
Score 700 or higher on a scaled score of 1000. Microsoft has not announced the number of questions, but according to actual measurements from various places it is 40 to 60 questions and about 45 minutes. The Mock exam on this site is set to 50 questions and 45 minutes in between.
The exam is offered in multiple languages, including Japanese. Microsoft updates the English version first, so changes to the exam scope can take several weeks to appear in localized versions. If you are testing soon after an update, check the English skills measured as well.
There are no prerequisite qualifications and anyone can take the exam. You can choose to take the test online at a Pearson VUE test center or from home. The treatment of expiration dates may change when switching to AI-901, so please check the official website for the latest terms.
The G Test and Generated AI Passport focus on vendor-independent concepts, legal matters, and ethics. AWS Certified AI Practitioner is also at the same Foundational level, but it is associated with AWS services. AI-901 is unique in that it goes into implementation in Microsoft Foundry, and is the most hands-on test of the three.
It is stored in LocalStorage in the browser you are using. It is not automatically synced across devices, and clearing your browser data will also delete the history.
